A Life Fully Alive

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

John 10:10

When was the last time you felt fully alive in every part of your being?

It’s not every day that we’ll feel fully alive, but we have the power and ability to make daily choices that bring us into alignment with the abundant life that God desires each of us to live.  A life that overflows with His life, peace, and joy in every part of our being – body, soul, and spirit.

You might be wondering, what does a life fully alive look like? It’s a spirit that’s saturated with the Word, presence, and intimacy of a relationship with God.  A body that is nourished and energised by healthy, life-giving food and activities.  A soul – mind, will, and emotions, that is at peace and operating from the truth of God’s Word, not our interpretation of the world around us.  A heart that is engaged in authentic, meaningful relationships and a life that boldly and courageously reflects faith and trust in God in the face of uncertainty of what the next step is or what the future holds.

In this blog, I’ll share reflections and insights I’ve gained from my own life, through my relationship and journey with the Lord, in light of my background in counselling and my passion for healthy living and applying the Word of God to our lives.

I want to invite you to join me on this journey where, together, we’ll become the healthiest that we can be physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.  A journey where we’ll be honest about the hurt and pain we experience and lean into it till healing and wholeness comes.  A journey where we’ll discover our identity and destiny as sons and daughters of God.

Are you ready to be transformed into His image and likeness and learn what it means to live a life fully alive?  Let’s go!

PAUSE – PRAY – PROGRESS

Sometimes our lives, hearts and minds feel so busy, rushed and cluttered that we forget to take a moment to pause, still our hearts, and speak to the Lord about what speaks to us.  Its through prayer that we receive wisdom and insight so we can know how to progress and walk out the life God desires for us.  Here are a few points to ponder while you pause.

  • What does a life fully alive look like for you, in your spirit, soul and body? Take a moment and write it down.
  • What is one step you can take today, and every day, towards that life?
  • What is one thing that hinders you from living a life fully alive?
